OCD – Obsessive compulsive disorder is an anxiety disorder where you can have unwanted repetitive thoughts or behaviour patterns. It can be successfully treated.

In My Manchester clinic and on Skype, I use my years of experience and trainings in varying powerful techniques to help clients overcome their Obsessions and OCD.

These are some of the techniques I’ve trained in and that I find excellent at managing this condition HaveningNeuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnosis and Thought Field Therapy Meridian Techniques (similar to EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique and also known as Callahan Techniques). I consider NLP and Hypnotic trance language is key to helping break the ‘trance’ clients are already in.

This ‘trance’ is the hypnotic state related to the compulsion. Sufferers of the condition will likely be seeing flash images of ‘what will happen’ (or will not happen) should they not carry out their compulsion and as a therapist, I can use the state to help break it. Alternatively, focussing on the anxiety and their strategy of processing anxiety is important because this can be a major factor.

The mind has the ability to learn very quickly and if you have had this issue for many years, a complete change of perspective to what triggers a compulsion and then whether a compulsive act is the best form of response, can happen very quickly as the mind learns that the older strategy (that led to the compulsive thought or behaviour) wasn’t as healthy as the new strategy that the therapist might present, leaving it open for the mind to learn new and better ways.

Habits can be broken and habitual behaviour can be changed, no-one is born with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder so it can be superseded by more successful behaviour patterns, although it can prove difficult to treat in some cases it can be done.

Reducing stress is very important, I teach my clients useful ’ Tapping ‘ meridian therapy techniques that can be used anywhere any time to help alleviate stress and emotional polarity.
